Job Seekers Invited to Virtual Hiring Event for Manufacturing/Production Industry
Five Urgently Hiring Branch County Employers to Offer On-the-Spot Interviews and Job Offers
BRANCH COUNTY, MICH. – Michigan Works! Southwest is hosting a virtual Employers of the Day direct hiring event on April 1 from 1-5 p.m. featuring five major Brach County employers related to the Manufacturing and Production industry.
Michigan Works! Southwest partners with recruiting employers in its four-county service area to provide job seekers with fulfilling opportunities and ensure employers are connecting with a prepared and skilled workforce. In December 2020, the Branch County unemployment rate was 4.6%, and virtual Employer of the Day events are a key strategy in lowering that number.
The featured employers at the April 1 Employers of the Day event are:
- Walmart Distribution Center
- Clemens Food Group
- C. Starck Solutions
- Sekisui Voltek LLC
- Maroa Farms
- And Fox Factory
“This event facilitates a safe recruiting event to helps individuals get back to work as well as meet the needs of employers, “said Anna Bronsink, manager at Michigan Works! Southwest. “It’s especially exciting when several companies come together and collaborate to help each other with talent needs.”
What to Expect From a Virtual Hiring Event
Virtual hiring events are offered through Brazen, a state-of-the-art virtual career fair and hiring platform, which allows employers and job seekers to connect at a distance while maintaining all aspects of an in-person conversation. Michigan Works! Southwest career development experts are available in the “lobby” of the platform to prep job seekers before entering by offering services such as interview prep, looking over a resume or even a pep talk if need be!
Once inside, job seekers can – similarly to an in-person job fair – visit employer booths, chat privately with representatives through text or video chat, and view current openings.
Interested job seekers can learn more about the event and complete their online registration on the Michigan Works! Southwest Events page.
